Laurie Lambot
I am a neuroscientist and engineer with 15 years of experience bridging neuroscience and cutting-edge technology. Originally from Belgium, I earned my PhD in Neuroscience from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where I studied neuroplasticity in the basal ganglia. My career brought me to the United States in 2016, where I conducted postdoctoral research at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago, focusing on synaptic circuits, neuronal imaging, and the development of innovative tools for neuroscience research.
In 2023, I transitioned into the private sector as a Senior Neuroscience Engineer at Modendo Inc. in Boulder, Colorado, where I applied my expertise to develop advanced optical imaging technologies and CAD-designed tools for studying deep brain structures.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, mentored students, published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented my findings at international conferences. With a passion for innovation and problem-solving, I aim to advance our understanding of the brain while translating research into practical applications.
Aside from being a neuroscientist, living in Colorado allows me to embrace the outdoors, engage with the community I love, and serve as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical responder.
